Only 2 more Shoppping Days until Christmas November 23 2014, 0 Comments
Well actually what I mean is only 2 more POP UP shop dates before Christmas.
We will be in the United Reform Church hall again on Sunday 23rd November between 1pm and 4pm, Fiona Morris of Distance Knitting will be joining us with some of her lovely knitwear, patterns and kits. Fiona will also be on hand to help out with any knitting or crochet problems you may have,
Our last POP UP shop for 2014 will be on Saturday 13th December between 10am and 4pm as usual in the URC church hall.
There is still plenty of time to do some Christmas knitting and crochet, socks, mitts, scarves and hats are always quick and easy.
Just in in time for Christmas we now have in stock the beautiful new Lang Mille Colori Socks and Lace Luxe. The fabulous colours Mille Colori are renowned for, with a silver or gold metallic thread running through. Unlike other metallic yarns this is so soft it is unbelievable. I have just finished a pair of beautiful chevron mitts in this yarn.
We still have some Bergere de France left at half price: Plume, Norvege, Magic + and Mili scarf yarn and some of their mags are still available, again half price.
We are also having a massive sale of knitting and crochet books which you will find on our website. Don't forget though, if you would like to purchase anything and want to avoid the P&P email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we are more than happy to bring your order along to the URC hall on one of our POP UP days.
If you go to the Odd Balls section on our website you will find lots of great reductions on yarns that have either been discontinued or we will not be restocking e.g. Debbie Bliss BFL at only £2.99 50g ball (rrp £5.95). You never know you may just find that elusive ball of yarn that you have been searching for to complete a project.
We have lots of great ideas for Christmas pressies, kits, books, needle sets etc. many of which are not yet up on our web site. Very popular at the moment are the cute Emma Ball Sheep Tins which you can fill with knitting or crochet goodies or add a bar of handmade soap and a knitted or crochet washcloth.
We are now stocking the range of Kinki Amibari (KA) needles and accessories. For those of you who have not heard of them they are the oldest manufacturer of bamboo needles in Japan. We are trying to get all of their products online asap. We always have a set or two available for you to try at one of our POP UP'S. They really are lovely to use and they have some great kits and a huge range of crochet gizmos. If there is something you need from the KA range that is not yet up on the website please let us know.
Artesano have brought out a lovely new yarn called Alpaca Heather DK. This yarn is the same blend as their popular Aran yarn 50% Alpaca and 50% Peruvian Highland Wool. At the moment there is a free Anniken Allis pattern on Ravelry called Mattingley using Alpaca Heather DK and we are offering a 10% discount for any of the yarn purchased to knit the pattern, just enter code AH15 at the checkout. We are stocking the whole range of Artesano yarns so any that you don't see on our website just email us and we will get back to you.
Another new yarn in stock is the lovely 4ply Oakhanger Alpaca. You won't find a yarn produced closer to home than this one. The yarn is spun from Diana's alpaca herd on her farm in Oakhanger. Diana then dyes the yarn herself using natural dyes. Kits using this lovely yarn will be on the website next week.
If you are any where near Heckfield then do try and pop into Rosie's Tea Rooms at Holdshott Farm, Heckfield RG27 0JZ htpps://www.rosiestearoom.co.uk. Rosie and Pippa serve lovely teas, coffee and delicious hand made cakes. You can also buy lots of our knitting kits and ready made accessories. There are also lots of other lovely crafty goodies to buy which you won't find anywhere else. Love it in there it is so cosy and welcoming!
Another tea room that are selling our kits and ready mades is the Riseley Tea Room surprisingly enough at Riseley (near Wellington Country Park). Located at Riseley Memorial Hall, Odiham Rd, Riseley RG7 1SD https://www.riseleyvillagetearoom.co.uk. Don't be fooled by the exterior of this hall, go inside and see the fantastic transformation that has taken place. I have been informed that it is advisable to book if you want tea as their opening times are limited and they are very popular.
We are very excited that we are going to have a stand at the Shopfest event at Denbies Vineyard on Sunday 7th December https://www.denbies.co.uk
'The SHOPFEST Market Place Craft & Gift fairs offer shopping with individuality. Over 40 independent businesses and creative artists offering products not available on the High Street'. Christmas shopping taken care of. Free admission
If you have never visited Denbies before please try and come along as it is a lovely place to visit. Miles and miles of vineyards - my idea of heaven - knitting and wine. They have a lovely gift shop and a really great restaurant, I can recommend their Sunday roast. You could also take in one of their wine tours or take a stroll amongst the vines or even up Box Hill!
We will be located in the Denbies Suite and will have a range of knitting kits and lots of bits and bobs for great pressies.
If any of you are around the Petersfield area try to go along to the Gift Boutique a lovely new little craft shop located in Pages Court off the High Street. They have a lovely range of hand made gifts and are now stocking Interknit Cafe's kits and ready made accessories.
